While I was cleaning up some old folders, I found this old thing laying around.

I don’t know if it’s sad or funny in retrospect, but I think it’s appropriate that I didn’t get a chance to put it up during the season.

I thought I’d start a series that gave annual tribute to the national championship winner*.  It’s (obviously) not going to be Michigan every year, or maybe not even soon, so I have to do something to fill the football gap.

Anyway, here’s this year’s tribute:

Congratulations Florida Gators.  You are probably, almost certainly,  the National Champs for 2008 – 2009.

*Ohio State and Michigan State fans should not hold their collective breath

This sentiment is brought to you for the Penn State game, but it also applies for the rest of this season.  We are still Michigan.  It’s still about The Team.

I received this email and it got me particularly motivated:

I was thinking that a “Believe” wallpaper would be awesome, especially because of the number of unknown variables we have going into the season. Everyone is predicting we will struggle, and while that may end up not be far from the truth, it is important that the fans BELIEVE in the team. If we are to win any games this year, as with any other year, it is imperative that the fans support the team, win or lose, and continue to believe in the tradition (historically and in the present) that is Michigan football.

Keep doing what you’re doing, and GO BLUE!
